Disclaimer
CasinoReporters covers online casinos for a Canadian readership. This page says, as plainly as we can manage, what our coverage can be relied on for and where its limits are. It covers every page of casinoreporters.com, the ranking tables, and anything the desk tells readers by email. Reading on means you accept it; readers who do not should close the site.
A publication, not a casino
CasinoReporters is published by Amberquay Digital DMCC, Mazaya Business Avenue BB1, Cluster BB, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company pays for the site and the desk. It operates no casino, sportsbook or lottery, takes no bets and never touches player money. Nor does it hold any gambling licence — each licence mentioned in a review is the reviewed operator’s.
Registering with a casino creates a contract between you and the casino alone. The desk has no say in that contract, cannot amend it and cannot represent you under it.
Information, not advice
Reviews, rankings, bonus explainers and game guides are general information meant to make comparison easier. None of it is legal, financial or tax advice, and none of it promises that a casino, a game or a strategy will pay. Whether to gamble, where and how much are your calls, and so are the results.
Worked examples in our articles — how much play a bonus needs at a given wagering multiple, how a long losing streak looks at a given RTP — assume tidy conditions that real sessions seldom meet. They illustrate a rule; they do not predict your balance.
Every figure has a date
Each review shows when it was last checked. On that day we compared our page with what the operator published. Operators alter welcome offers, wagering multiples, maximum bets, game weighting, cash-out caps and accepted payment methods whenever they like, sometimes overnight. Live reviews are rechecked in rotation, so there is always a window between a change and our next look.
Read each number here as a snapshot from that day, never as an offer. What binds you is the operator’s wording at the moment you accept it, so open their terms before depositing or claiming a promotion. Spot a figure that has gone stale? Tell us; we correct it and put a new date on the page.
What a licence check tells you
We search each operator’s company name and licence number in the regulator’s public register. A hit proves the company was listed when we searched — no more. It cannot rule out a suspension next month, and it says nothing about how fairly the operator handles complaints.
There is no Canada-wide online casino licence. Ontario’s regulated market is overseen by the AGCO with iGaming Ontario, Alberta now licenses its own under the AGLC, and elsewhere the provincial lottery corporation runs the legal online offer. A Maltese, Curaçao or Kahnawake licence does not on its own authorize an operator in your province. Which sites are lawful for you turns on where you live, and confirming that falls to you.
Ontario and bonus information
Ontario restricts bonus and inducement advertising aimed at its residents. A welcome offer shown in a review is the one the operator advertises outside Ontario, or belongs to an operator not registered there. Readers in Ontario should stick to iGaming Ontario registrants and look at those operators’ own pages for what they are allowed to offer.
How scores are made
A score blends licence status, payout speed and caps, bonus terms, Canadian payment options, the game library and support, with identical weights for every operator. It sums up one check; it does not forecast the future. Two casinos a point apart can be far apart on the single feature you care about, so read past the number.
Our deposit and withdrawal tests use small sums and a few methods. A fast Interac payout to a test account says little about a large withdrawal, another method, or an account held for extra verification.
Age
Readers must be of age: 19 is the online gambling age in most provinces and territories; Alberta, Manitoba and Québec set the age at 18. Anyone younger than the age for their province should leave now.
Affiliate links
Every button or link routed via /go/ is an affiliate link. A reader who registers and funds an account after using one may earn Amberquay Digital DMCC a referral fee from the operator. The reader is charged nothing for this, and the fee plays no part in where a casino ranks. How we are funded sets the arrangement out in full.
Other people’s websites
A link off this site takes you somewhere we do not control. What that site publishes, how it treats your data, whether your money is safe there and whether it pays out are outside our responsibility, and linking to it is not an endorsement. Blocked accounts, voided bonuses and refused withdrawals must go first to the operator and then, if needed, its regulator; we may record a reader’s report in a review but cannot resolve it.
Data we did not produce
RTP percentages, volatility ratings, provider line-ups and processing times are often supplied by studios, testing labs or operators. We cite the source and prefer primary documents, yet we cannot audit the maths behind each figure, and a mistake or revision at the source can carry into our summary. Screenshots show a page as it looked when captured.
Payments and currency
Amounts appear in the operator’s currency, usually Canadian dollars. Conversions are rough and dated to the day of writing. Banks, card issuers, e-wallets and crypto networks may add charges or use their own rates. Crypto transfers generally cannot be reversed, and coins sent over the wrong network may never arrive.
Canada generally does not tax a recreational player’s winnings, though there are exceptions and the position can change. For your own circumstances, a tax professional or the CRA can advise.
News and older articles
Newsroom stories rely on statements, regulator notices and reports available on publication day. Events move on, and an older story may not cover what followed. Where it matters we link the original document; the current version on the regulator’s or company’s site takes precedence.
Copyright and trademarks
Text, tables, layout and original images on the site are owned by Amberquay Digital DMCC or used under licence. Short quotes with a link back are fine; republishing full articles, scraping, or commercial reuse need our written consent. Casino brands, game titles and logos remain with their rightful holders. They appear here only so readers know which product is under review, and showing them implies no approval from those companies and no partnership.
Limits of our liability
Within the limits set by law, Amberquay Digital DMCC is not answerable for losses that follow from relying on this site; from an operator’s acts or omissions, including unpaid winnings, closed accounts or data leaks; from downtime; or from errors in our content. Liability the law does not let a publisher exclude, and your consumer rights in your province, stay in place.
The site costs nothing to read and there is no paid service between you and the publisher. We write with reasonable care but cannot promise every detail is complete and current; before a decision involving your money, confirm the point at its source.
Keeping it a game
Gambling spends money; it does not make it, and it will not solve a money problem. Fix a money limit and a time to quit before the first spin, do not try to win back losses, and never borrow to play. If gambling is crowding out work, family or health, stop and talk to someone: ConnexOntario takes calls on 1-866-531-2600 around the clock, and our responsible gambling guide explains deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.
Impersonation
The desk never messages readers on social media or chat apps with bonus offers, password requests or payment demands. Anyone doing that in our name is not us; ignore them and let us know.
Changes and governing law
This page is revised whenever our site or methods change, and the date at the foot of the page marks the current text. Should any part prove unenforceable, the remainder still stands. Disputes about it are decided under the law of the Dubai International Financial Centre; mandatory consumer protections in your province are unaffected.
